SV	Voor het aangezicht der Chaldeen; want zij vreesden voor hunlieder aangezicht, omdat Ismael, de zoon van Nethanja, Gedalia, den zoon van Ahikam, geslagen had, dien de koning van Babel over het land gesteld had.
WLC	מִפְּנֵי֙ הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים כִּ֥י יָרְא֖וּ מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם כִּֽי־הִכָּ֞ה יִשְׁמָעֵ֣אל בֶּן־נְתַנְיָ֗ה אֶת־גְּדַלְיָ֙הוּ֙ בֶּן־אֲחִיקָ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־הִפְקִ֥יד מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֖ל בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ ס
Trans.	mipənê hakaśədîm kî yārə’û mipənêhem kî-hikâ yišəmā‘ē’l ben-nəṯanəyâ ’eṯ-gəḏaləyâû ben-’ăḥîqām ’ăšer-hifəqîḏ meleḵə-bāḇel bā’āreṣ:

AC	יח מפני הכשדים כי יראו מפניהם כי הכה ישמעאל בן נתניה את גדליהו בן אחיקם אשר הפקיד מלך בבל בארץ {פ}
ASV	because of the Chaldeans; for they were afraid of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor over the land.
BE	Because of the Chaldaeans: for they were in fear of them because Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, had put to death Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon had made ruler over the land.
Darby	because of the Chaldeans; for they feared them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had smitten Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon had appointed over the land.
